CUTTING BY SELECTION TOOLS

This is our original image.

Make a rectangular selection.

From "Edit Menu" choose "Cut". From "File Menu" choose "New" and paste it into new document.
New image looks like that:

If we choose "Elliptical selection" result would be :

ASSIGNMENT

Use all selection tools and create different shapes.

COMBINING TWO SELECTIONS

Sometimes we need to draw a complex object like the one as shown here:

This is a very easy task.

Choose "Elliptical selection tool" and draw an oval . Now press and hold "SHIFT" key and draw another oval intersecting the first one.In this way draw as many ovals as you wish.You can also include rectangular selection . Just click rectangular selection and start , but don't forget to press and hold "SHIFT" key.
Now fill a color or cut the selected portion from the image. Its upto you.
Now I am going to fill it with orange color.
